This is one of Campos’ premier wines. It is a pure, 100% Tannat, without any blending grapes to hide or change its character. No other grape variety benefits more from the Bolivian “Gran Altura” more than Tannat. This results in a wine with deep color and ripe, smooth tannins. There is also a bright fruit intensity and herbal complexity, with a slight touch of oak.
This 100% Tannat has a lovely mouthfeel, sweet tannins, with lots of blackberries and cassis. The distinct mineral and herbal complexity is a result of this wine's growing conditions at high altitudes. The 2015 Unico was awarded the Platinum medal and 95 points at the Decanter World Wine Awards in London.
